Publisher's summary

I'm a one-and-done kind of hellhound.... I don't catch feelings....

Once upon a time, my first and last relationship taught me that romantic love isn't enough to stop your boyfriend from trying to kill you. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. My awesomeness is now strictly reserved for one-nighters and casual hookups.

Besides, things are heating up at the Community of Species Government, and I'm right in the thick of it all. Those bad guys are going down-and not in the good way. They might seem to have the drop on us right now, but we're going to turn the tables on them. Even if it means going on a mission with Aidan Byrne.

I'm still not happy about the way Aidan handled things with my bestest bestie a few months back, even if he did turn out to be right. Plus, there's something about him that rubs my fur in the wrong direction. He's the kind of guy who thinks karaoke is only for college kids and looks down on me for licking my own balls. He also thinks that just because he's the species leader, he's in charge.

Too bad for him, I've never backed away from a challenge...even if it is unnervingly sexy and really bendy. A hookup won't lead to feelings...right?

What a twist

This was all the fun that I have come to expect from this authore, narrator was amazing, but what a twist! I don't want to spoil, but if you want to read further in this series or the Here be Dragons series, this is the best place to start!

My fave hellhound!

Alistair is by far my fave character, he is not only the comedic relief but everything about his character will have you pining for the damn hellhound. I was so excited to get to his story, and it was just as good as I had imagined. His and Aiden’s relationship tugs at your heartstrings. I love this series so much, my only complaint is that it’s not long enough. It’s been two days and I’ve read the entire series. If that doesn’t say how good this series is I don’t know what would.

10/10 - my fav of the series.

I adore Alistair so much! He is hilarious and sweet and just so cute. His indignant pouts are my favorite. I laughed more in this book then any other in the series. I love that he is just this adoring, lovable hound that needs all the attention.

The true story has finally emerged!

The first 3 books felt like a fun adventure story with loosely connected characters, but it's not until the last chapter that we finally learn the true gravity of The overarching story - and it's a doozy! This book really drives home the importance of all the clues that have been disclosed throughout this book and the previous two. Overall, it's a fascinating world that the author has built, the characters are lovable and interesting, and the narrator does a good job doing them justice. The way this book adds really makes you want to see what happens next. I'd recommend this series.

an incredible twist!

I'm so excited by the transfer from Modern fantasy to high fantasy. It's really cool. Brilliant author and Joel Leslie never lets me down. my only problem is I feel like I don't get the full ending of the romance but I suppose that will come with the continuation of the series. I love this!

Loved it!

Alister and Aiden are very different but make a great couple. This audio is just as great as the previous ones.

Oh Alistair

Alistair is funny to a point but a little much at times. When he's being sweet, it's cute. Aiden is good for him because he balances that silliness with seriousness. I think Noah and Andrew are still my favorites.

I listened to this whole series in a couple of days. Joel Leslie always helps make the stories better with his performance.

There are moments of greatness and moments of WTF but overall, I liked this series. Not sure if I will listen to the spin-off series or not.

Alastair….

The big goofy, fun loving hellhound has a mission and he wants to pout because it’s with his species leader, you know the one that forced the shift on Sam… their trip takes them to the west coast where they found the stink of Tish and elves… there’s a knock on their door one night and who’s there but an elf. Good times, moving on to the next book.
