Can Pip establish himself as a fine gentleman worthy of Estella's hand in marriage, before getting too far into debt? Who is his secret benefactor? Can Miss Havisham ever make peace with her tragic past?
This coming of age story is one of the most well-known books by Charles Dickens, set in Kent and London around 1812, it has a satisfyingly multi-layered plot and satirizes the social climbing and rigid class system of Dickens' time.

This newer edition of the King James Bible published in 1769 is usually preferred by most that read it over the older 1611 version. This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... Revisit a Classic Recently? Try this one.
Dickens at his best! A timeless classic. Full of humor, mystery and suspense to the very end. A great novel. One to get lost in. The less you know about the story, the better. In part a coming of age tale set in Victorian London. Dickens language may seem formidable to the uninitiated. But like good coffee and fine wine, he is an acquired taste. Many of us were first exposed to Dickens in middle school and were too young to appreciate what he was about. This is a writer for grownups. Solid narration.
