Publisher's summary

The young girl trembles with fear as she stares at the gun pointed in her direction. She knows there’s no point in screaming. No one will hear her on the mountain. As thunder breaks overhead, she silently prays that someone will at least find her body so she can be returned to her parents.

Detective Madison Harper’s heart aches when she attends a local support group for families of missing people in Lost Creek, Colorado. She wishes she could help them all, but one cold case in particular captures her attention. Five years ago, close friends Becky, Tasha and Stuart hiked the infamous Grave Mountain. But only Stuart returned. He claims they were separated by a storm, but the town has never believed him. Convinced Stuart is hiding something, Madison vows to find out what really happened.

Just as Madison reopens the case, her blood runs cold when remains are discovered on the trail where the women were last seen. And when more bodies are discovered, Madison suspects she’s dealing with a serial killer who has used Grave Mountain as a dumping ground for years. How many more bodies are they about to unearth?

Then, the case takes an agonizing turn when someone close to Madison is found brutally murdered. As she gets closer to cracking the case, a tip-off leads her back to the mountain, and she knows that if she’s going to catch the killer, she has to hike it alone. But as another storm closes in, Madison realizes she may have just walked into a trap that means she’ll never make it off the mountain alive…

A completely addictive and twist-packed mystery thriller that will have you holding your breath until the shocking final twist! Perfect for fans of Lisa Regan, Melinda Leigh and Kendra Elliot.

Miss the old narrator

Store line was good. they need to bring back the old narrator. My kids can make better voices than that.

Twist and turns

Another amazing listen from Wendy! So many twists and turns. Just when you think you know what is happening you find out you’re wrong. Can’t wait for book 8.

Love the series’s

I loved this series but this narrator was not good. Her voice changed reminded me of a teen surfer boy. They should have waited until the normal narrator was available to finish it.

Love this series

I love this series, but PLEASE for the love of God! Do not do another book if you can't use the original narrator! I only got this book, because I'm already in by listening to them all already. But this narrator wasn't good. Should've waited until the original narrator was available.

Narration was a nope for me

They really should have waited for the previous narrator to be available. The one used for the book was distracting and made the story really hard to follow. The voices were cringe.

Sigh

So much to go over
First, all these little side stories that aren’t interesting or a part of the story
Second, I don’t like when a character is thrown in midway through that has NOTHING to add except words?
how did this book get such a high rating… and where was the ‘humor’?
Just a big NO for me

Narration is terrible.

There was little to like about this book. I had enjoyed the series until book 7. Wendy Dranfield is so talented this did not seem like her writing.

Narration was terrible

I have enjoyed this series until book 7. All the narrators were terrible in book 7. It was hard to focus on story line because of the narration. They completely distracted me from the story…..terrible. I was anxious for book 7 and now feel I wasted my money.
