Maybe it wasn't my best idea to draw dark magic into myself to save a friend but it's definitely not my worst (don't ask Havoc what that was).
The first thing on our list of Save Miles from the Dark Magic That Might Be Making Him Do Ridiculous Things is to destroy the ominous book that's snagging my attention. But what I don't expect is to be dragged into the book filled with dark mysteries that leaves me with more questions and a lack of pants. But it's nothing that Havoc and I can't handle.
The two of us have proven that our relationship is strong enough that we can face anything life throws at us, so I think we can handle a measly book maybe I mean, so far it may look like were not winning, but that's just because it'd be boring if heroes won immediately. And it's not like we have to fight this battle alone, especially with an awe-inspiring dragon familiar who is forced to face his greatest adversary (a common housecat), a narcissistic angel who comes with a sword that compliments every cut made, a centaur who always manages to look like he's on the set of a cologne commercial, and Etienne (whatever he is).
With the demon I love by my side and my found family, we're going to stop this darkness before it spreads. But doing so might unveil some things we never expected.

The best one yet
All hail emperor miles! The gang is back to help destroy a book, find a mage, mile’s is struggling with his magic and boring dates. So worth the credit, narrator was great!

Dragged in places
OK, This is not going to be popular with this authors fans. And honestly over all I did very much enjoy the story. But for me, I found several chapters where Miles was doing his inner thoughts and monologing and I got bored. I finally started FF through it.
That being said I found this one very funny and like so many other reviews found myself smiling and laughing throughout. And since I've been listening while traveling, flying, the people around me at the airport and on the plane probably thing I'm a bit daft. Or drunk.
Greg, as always did a fantastic job with all the characters. Really bringing this to life.

Love it!
Possible Spoilers….
This was such a fun listen! I’ve already listened to it twice and I will be listening to it again soon. Menace was hilarious in this book and I totally want a cat/dragon familiar now. Emperor Miles and Havoc are adorable and #relationshipgoals! I loved meeting Winter and I can’t wait to learn more about him!

Narrator is absolutely brilliant!!
Dangerous book to listen to when you’re with strangers. You can’t stop laughing and looking like a looney.
This was such a great story and Greg Boudreaux made it even better. How can someone make all those voices? He was brilliant and made the book even more hilarious.

Call In Sick to Work Kind of Read
Firstly, I was relistening to this series and finished the third book the night before I woke up and the fourth book was available! Happiest of days! Secondly, Alice Winters NEVER disappoints. I laughed and giggled and awwwwed and then laughed some more. Miles and Havoc are still as delightful as ever and if Ms. Winters wants to write them and their adventures with their crazy, brilliant, and beautiful found family forever and ever, I will be here waiting the throw my money at her. And thirdly, Greg is just brilliant. The way he can bring Alice’s characters to life is a match made in heaven and worthy of all the adoration we can give them.

fun
another great installment to this series. you keep up with madness of previous installments and the quirky family adds another member who deserves all this chaos as much as the rest. just one of those series that just has you smiling at the chaos with a sprinkle of sweetness to keep you on your toes.
Greg Bordeaux again proves why he is such a brilliant nararrator by making the book all the more engaging with his antics.

Had me laughing out loud
I kept getting weird looks as I wandered around listening to this cracking up. Alice Winters is my favorite writer now and this one is another joy to listen to!

can't wait for the NXT one
I love it the bad guy isn't the bad a guy and I hope in the NXT one they will adopt a kid 😁 as sassy havok but powerful as miles finger crossed
