Publisher's summary

A war was brewing within our borders.

Not a war with weapons, but one with words.

Until now. And so it begins....

The entire five-book terrorism thriller series is now available in a single boxed set.

Bobby Akart delivers up-all-night thrillers to listeners in 245 countries and territories worldwide. He has sold over one million books in all formats, which includes over 40 international bestsellers, in nearly 50 fiction and nonfiction genres.

The Doomsday series depicts America on the edge of societal collapse and destined for war.

As the story unfolds, it's New Year's Eve. As the ball drops in Times Square, Americans are preparing for a new year and a bright future. Instead, they find themselves fighting for their lives as the fuse has been lit that sends the country into chaos.

With political rancor at an all-time high, the war of words had escalated, and a political war erupts. Americans are caught in the crosshairs of societal unrest and a shadowy group stoking the fires of discontent burning in America. Words are replaced by weapons as neighbor turns on neighbor, and powerful forces stop at nothing to reshape a nation in turmoil.

America has become embroiled in something more than a clash of ideologies. She now faces a battle in which the blood of patriots and tyrants would be shed.

As Americans struggle to survive, some sought a place of safety where they could ride out the coming storm. However, even if they can overcome the threats confronting them, will they bear witness to an America hell-bent on destroying itself?

This is a story of a nation divided, on the cusp of a second civil war, and what that portends for our future. Remember, all empires collapse eventually, and America will be no exception.

Doomsday series very engaging

This series like all of Bobby’s books keep you engaged and make you feel like you were a part of what’s going on. Every time I read or listen to one of Bobby’s books I learn and become excited about that learning. His books are really fantastic.

Good story SPOILER ALERT

SPOILER ALERT
The story kept me interested and it was a new twist on a post apocalyptic story. I also liked the strong women, except for the wimpy one from AL. That is the only reason I gave it 3 stars. The characters were NOT well rounded. Why was the Cortland woman fighting with her father? You have 5 books to explain it! Blair hirt her back in an accident. OK, why tell us that? It had zero to do with the story. The was an EMP and the family was stuck at the top of a roller coaster, but the fire department came to save them? No! I am disappointed! This author is better than this. The series was implausible. Also, there was so much unnecessary information: the polysporin/neosporin description, the details of the number of grains in ammunition, but the lack of preps was just not what I like in my Post Apocalyptic fiction. Luckily I listen to audiobooks as I commute 115 miles per day, I am a captive audience (and not a quitter)! I am not sure I could have finished if I had to turn the pages. I probably shouldn't deduct stars for politics, but I really am not a fan of the politics in this story. I thought that it would show both sides, but, to my horror, the "good guys" caused the apocalypse! What?! In the end, the hero, joined the team that caused the death of many and caused the unrest. I am not sure what to think! I am not a fan of our current president, don't flame me, it is my opinion and I am entitled to it, but, to have him call for unity at the end if the series was laughable! I will try to read other titles by this author as the book was very well written, but I hope the politics are toned down.

It’s a fun book…

As much as an end of the world story can be. The characters are easy to follow and the story moves you along.

Great Book

I really liked this book. It has very mild language with the exception of 4 or 5 times using Jesus as swear word.

apparent bias

Another Akart series simply hinted at the author's political bias. it was tolerable. But with this one, it's far more obvious and off-putting.
Making the RL good guys bad and the bad guys good is deplorable.

Written before the last election

I thought this book would be off because of how history has changed a bit but I really enjoyed this book and wish that parts of it were true. Not the violence but other things.
