Sometimes love grows in the darkest of places…
One tragic night took the only good thing in my life from me and set me on a new path. A path that eventually led me here, to the Kings of Mayhem Motorcycle Club in Tennessee.
They call me Doc because that is what I am, even if the law says I can’t be. I’m inked head to toe, ride a Harley, and wear a cut, but my love for medicine is the blood in my veins.
I don’t need liquor, and I don’t need women. By choice, I haven't touched a woman in years. Guilt has shaped me into a lonely figure. Love is a fable, and touch makes me uncomfortable.
When a rival club decides I have what they need and abduct me off the street, I come face to face with the last damn thing I need—the woman of my dreams.
She’s the enemy, the daughter of our biggest rival. The odds are against us, yet I’m drawn to her like a moth to the flame. I don’t like to be touched, but I want her to touch me.
Chances are I’m not getting out of this alive. But when I have her in my arms, I can’t help but feel like my life is just beginning.

This was an intense listen right from the beginning. Couldn’t stop. Although it was such a sad story, the HEA was Happy tears. I loved the narrative of both performers. Perfection. I’m on to next book. Haven’t listened to Jack yet. Waiting on next credit. This author is new to me and I can’t say how much I enjoy her writing.
Definitely a new favorite. Thanks for a story so intense that I felt all the emotions, pain, suffering, love and touching HEA. I cried🥲

I loved this one, although some of the things that happen are disturbing!
This MC series is so good!! I loved Doc and Lily’s (Tigerlily) story!! Doc was in a dark place for years, couldn’t even stand to be touched by anyone. In Jack’s story we get a glimpse of this troubled man, and now we get his story. My heart bleed for him.
Lily hasn’t had a good life either. The daughter of a very mentally deranged man, and the enemy of the Kings of Mayhem, she escaped the life her father tried to force on her and went to school and became a nurse. But then her father drags her back, along with kidnapping Doc, in order to help his wife deliver a breeched baby. Both Doc and Lily helped captive they begin to grow very close, until Lily finds a way for Doc to escape, but staying back to keep her father from realizing, long enough for Doc to get away. Everything goes downhill from there!
You have to read the book to find out what happens next. But I do recommend reading Jack’s book first, even though it’s not totally necessary, but makes the deeper understanding and feelings toward the characters. If you enjoy MC Romance & Suspense, you will love this King of Mayhem series!!

Loved this book & series!
Doc’s story is sad but triumphant. He and Lilly overcame so many obstacles to Persevere. They were determined to have a better life and found that together. Story has the perfect blend of beginnings, heartache, action and happy ending. Recommend reading!
