So painful to get through
Used to really enjoy this series. absolute slog now. half of this book should be in an index on how the systems work. needs way more story and way less descriptions on Zacks way too many skills.

Good book
The story continues at a good pace. It is good that certain characters got taken off the board. It made a lot of sense. The side characters were getting to be to much. The motivation of Zac and the truth about his heritage was straight red pill.

Narrator and story progression at peak quality. Series is moving at great pace and has solid flow of events that keep you immersed in the tale. Balanced story and rpg elements slightly pushed in direction of story but not detracting from power development aspect. Gold. Pure gold. More like this

Nothing happened but that’s ok.
This is the closest thing to a filler book this series has had. Nothing happens and is almost skippable. But gentlemen and fans of the series should understand that filler books are sometimes a good thing. This is crucial to the set up of future plot points. Think of this as an investment book. Worth little now but will surely pay dividends in the future.
