Interesting ending

Good storyline. Felt like it was dragging at times. I wasn’t a very big fan of the narrator. The accent became irritating after some time.

Not a fulfilling ending

The book hooks you where even when you’re getting mad you can’t put it down you wanna know how it ends but once you get to the end it’s kinda disappointing

Good story. Narration could be improved.

I like the story. It had some good mystery to it. The two sisters voices were exactly the same so it was hard to tell the difference about who was talking sometimes. Even the male voices were similar.

Unlikable sisters

I found every character quite unlikable, so I had no investment in any of their outcomes.

I was gripped from the start

I was gripped from the start

I so enjoyed this British listen. Ruth Harrow pens a well-paced suspenseful thriller. I’m adding Deidra Whelan to my favorites as she brings her narrative talents to the forefront. Finding this in Audible Plus catalogue is appreciated. Two sisters are torn apart by their estranged father as he returns years later. Harrow’s captivating subplots make for a tangled web of surprises and intrigue. Never dull or a lull. A shocker of a complexellent ending. Highly recommended and worthy of a cherished credit.

One odd comment: Every time I heard the word “flatly,” I thought of Michael Flatley, “Lord of the Dance.” Not sure why I had to share this. I just did.🥹

Pretty Predictable But Still Good

This book was pretty predictable but still a good story. The narrator was a little annoying as the two main characters sounded exactly alike. I’m not sure I’ve ever explained listening to a book like that. Even with each new chapter stating which chapter belonged to which sister it still got confusing. Some chapters were very short so pay close attention in the beginning of each.

Sorta plain

It was interesting at times but I wouldn’t recommend it to others. Something to play in the background.

Plot was good

I really liked that I kept getting turned around. It kept me interested. The characters all had flaws which was refreshingly real to life.
