I love every box of the Dead America from the beginning to the end I've listened to every single one . I started listening on Derek Slaton YouTube channel, go subscribe to his channel it's worth it he comments back to everyone from what I've seen its a cool channel to have when your in the car wanting to listen to a good book. I don't get it
There are a lot of things that are overdone in the post-apocalyptic genre and this series hits on all of them. A lot of terms are overused to the point that I believe the repetition is some type of passive aggressive slight against the reader. You can only say "Billy drawled" (referring to a verbal statement by Billy) one or two times before it gets weird, but it doesn't make sense for someone to "drawl" in a life or death situation even once. I think the series is a cool idea, but the dialog could have been better executed and the story in general could be less repetitive. I don't know why I've listened so far into this series.
