Amazing eye opener

I many years ago I had to read this for a college class and was mind blown so proud kindly that now 10 years later I am still rereading it to stay consistent! Extremely worth the time to read! The authors will get through to you in a productive way!

Important Points buried in the text

I’m very pleased that they came out with a new addition and I looked forward to this being more listenable with a new narrator.

I only wish that they had updated the examples in the book to be more timely or applicable to more people. That being said, it was a much easier listen and The last few chapters still contain important morsels of information.

Perhaps in the future they will use more updated language such as “substance use disorder” instead of “substance abuse” (a now outdated and stigmatizing term… because language IS important during Crucial Conversations).

Useful if stereotypical

The examples could use a little updating but underlying message is useful over all.

Tools to stay even keeled during a conflict

This book provide some overlapping skill sets that are used for conflict management and the terminology is memory associating friendly. The way the tools are set up it’s a healthy way to approach tough situations and also maintain healthy relationships. I will listen to this book again. This book provides great scenarios and examples to apply the lessons.
