Publisher's summary

In collaboration with Liturgy Training Publications, narrator Paul Fleschner gently guides the listener through this essential Catholic text.

Sacrosanctum Concilium: The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, now for the first time this landmark document, is available in an English audiobook edition. The Second Vatican Council was undoubtedly one of the most influential events in the life of the Church. The first effort of the Council was Sacrosanctum Concilium, the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, promulgated on December 4, 1963. This document was the result of the work of the Liturgical Movement - decades of liturgical scholarship, research, and renewal. The implementation of this document changed the course of the Church in history.

Narrator Paul Fleschner takes the listener through the eight parts of the document:

  • 1. General Principles
  • 2. The Eucharist
  • 3. The Other Sacraments and Sacramentals
  • 4. The Divine Office
  • 5. The Liturgical Year
  • 6. Sacred Music
  • 7. Sacred Art and Sacred Furnishings
  • 8. Appendix on Revision of the Calendar

What Vatican II Really Said

EVERYONE needs to read this. So many people have false notions of what Vatican II called for with regard to the Liturgy. Everyone needs to read this and understand what Vatican II really called for, thus putting to bed the false teachings of far too many. Read this and then have a conversation with your parish liturgist and pastor. The people deserve what Mother Church in her wisdom, inspired by the Holy Spirit, says is authentically good for her children. Too many people are being robbed by the implementation of false ideas and the personal preferences of liturgists and clergy. Read and hear directly from Mother Church.
