Publisher's summary

Despite his victory against the Guild, Kers soon learns that there is now an even greater target upon his cloudy back.
Typical.

Then there’s the small matter of Marwan, the Dark Lord who wants to take over the world, and the Jade Citadel sortie that is on the verge of collapsing. Not to mention the fact that he now has to ‘get along’ with his neighboring core and deal with a mysterious orca-like monster that has started flying nearby…

Oh, and he also has a new floor to generate and fill with fresh challenges and mobs. Yes, creepy dolls that wear your friends’ faces will be included. Also, mastodons.

Will Kers learn to fly and save those who plumb his… erm, heights? Or will he crash and burn, a victim of those he cares for?

Two things are certain; Selena will get her pizza and Kers will only get weirder.

HAHAHA For when Berserker Rage Isn't Mad Enough

Rise of Kers continues his......... rise......... teehee,
I blame Truck-kun.

Seriously though the continuation of this series has been well worth the wait and the SBT Team makes it even better.

A quality plot with the right amount of one line zingers and deep nerd lore. If you liked Kers and company in book 1 then you'll love book 2 and it will be on my watch list for the 3rd book.

awesome

story was deducted a star because it ended on a cliffhanger...

great book that builds upo. everything in book 1.
if you liked that, get this asap

SBT actually improved their performance from the first book...
among other things vex is now a little easier to understand while remaining the same little firecracker

Cloud McLoving

The book is very well written and the character growth is strong. SBT took it to another level! Worth listening to. Looking forward to #3!

Aerosteel and Cores

I highlighted the two things that stood out to me in the first and second books, the cores are such an interesting thing to build a world around. the fact that this just builds and creates more corners of the world to peak in has me so excited for what comes next. I can't recommend these books, weirdness and all

tired

I am tired of everyone that are supposed to help the dungeon disrespect him. That don't consult him, they just do it and don't care about him even if he cares about them. Seriously...

Honestly better than the first book

If you are prepared to be swept away by a tale of unbridled imagination and inspiration, then "City in the Clouds, The Rise of Kers" is a must-read. This magnificent novel is a testament to the boundless potential of the human spirit and the transformative power of vision and leadership.

The fairy got worse... but the story is still enjoyable

Medusa and Selena were pretty obnoxious both were just disrespectful and took no consequences for the behavior. Selena needs a rewrite, she really throws me out of my enjoyment every time she berates or whines at Kers.

Better than the first.

I was lucky enough to receive a review copy of the books in this series. I was not previously familiar with this author or series myself. I downloaded these books about a week ago and have already finished both of them. I find myself absolutely loving this series and the way that things have been coming together.

I'm not entirely sure how they managed it, but SBT is exemplifying the beauty of their craft even more than usual here. The voices and sound effects used flow quite seamlessly with one another; creating a truly vibrant and enthralling listening experience.

The quality of the writing is also on evident display here. This world has obviously had a fair amount of time and planning put forth into its creation and building; which is only backed up by a rather well executed and intriguing web of plot lines.

I believe I'll find myself waiting on rather baited breath for the next installment in this quite delightful series.
