A Real Gem of a Novel!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The characters are so well drawn, real and sympathetic. You care what happens to them. And the story carries you along.

What other book might you compare Everyone Brave Is Forgiven to and why?

Cleve's way of writing and telling a story is so unique I can only think of his own Little Bee, although there are major differences in the characters and story.

Have you listened to any of Chris Cleave and Audible ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were many, but when Mary returned after leaving Alastair alone at dinner you understood how deeply conflicted she was about being in love with him.

Any additional comments?

There are many, many bits of typically British witticisms used by Cleve's characters to defend against fear, pain and yes, even sincerity.
