Publisher's summary

Never trust a campus god.

Knight Reed is a devil heir with a chip on his shoulder. The arrogant a-hole I love to hate.

His name may be Knight, but that armor is black as coal. He’s a beautiful god with a wicked heart. I know because my mom used to work for his family. An act of brutal violence in the woods and he gets my mom fired, ultimately leaving us homeless. That was the last time I saw him face-to-face.

At least, until recently.

He’s frat boy royalty at my new university, a campus god amongst the rich and elite. There’s little interest in a freshman like me.

But then I cross him, putting an end to me being invisible here in his world.

At a party, I see something I shouldn’t have seen. Now, suddenly, the campus god has me tackled on a bed with his hand around my throat. He tells me to forget what I witnessed. Do that or the end result will be bad for me. He’s hell-bent on crushing my little dove wings, and all I see is that cruel boy from the woods that day.

When it comes to Knight, I can’t seem to stay out of his way or keep my trap shut around him, no matter how hard I try. He tells me my little mouth will get me in trouble, but I think he’s wrong.

I’m not afraid what will happen if I spill his secrets. What terrifies me is how badly I want to see what might be beyond all that coal-black armor.... It’s possible that, to some small measure, I’m tempted to give in to the only devil I’ve ever known.

The dark knight himself.

So good!

I loved this story in Audible. The narrators do an excellent job of bringing Knight and Greer to life. I especially liked Addison Barnes' performance. The writing is engaging and spending time in the expanded Court world is always great.

I definitely recommend!

Brutal Heir

Brutal Heir is the first book in the Court University series. This book is told from dual points of view by Knight and Greer.

When Greer is younger she lives with Knight as her mother works for his family. She witnesses something that gets her mother fired when she speaks up about it. Now 10 years later Greer shows back up at Knight's school. When Greer witnesses something again while with Knight, Knight will do whatever he can to have Greer keep quiet.

As Knight keeps an eye on Greer, he keeps showing up and making it hard for her to get her school work done. She goes off on him, and he takes her to see someone and it ends up in her discovering another secret, that Knight didn't know about.

What happens with this secret? Will Knight finally get some answers about his past? Will Greer be able to get over what happened in the past? Will Greer and Knight get their happy ending?

I really loved getting to know these characters and can't wait to see where this series goes next.

even better the 2nd time around

This is a spin-off stand-alone featuring Greer and Knight. Eden O'Neill has a way of writing that draws you in, makes you feel like you are a part of the world and does not lot you escape until the very end. I love Greer and the fact that she takes what Knight dishes out and gives it right back and challenges him.
I admit that once I started reading this, I couldn't put it down
I listened to the audiobook, and it reminded me of why I fell in love with both of these characters the first time.

I love me some Knight Reed!

We aren’t ready for Knight Reed.
This book blew me away.

This is a enemies to lovers, dark new adult book that will rock your word!
.
I absolutely live the High Court Series and through that series I have been curious about Knight Reed. Boy did he not disappoint! This man will guarantee, make your book boyfriend list! He’s mysterious, a clear definition of brooding bad boy with a hidden soft side only for his lady and so much more!
.
Scandal, secrets, hidden agendas come to play in this thrilling and captivating read. The characters are well written and developed. We see some faves from High Court and a new light to them also.
I will say I didn’t connect to Greer as much as I did to Em but I still enjoyed her character.
.
Instantly transported into this world with graphic and vivid imagery thanks to the talented writing. So much more to explore with this series and I’m so happy we see the rest of the gang in the upcoming books.
.
You do not need to read the High Court Series to understand the events in this book, but why wouldn’t you? Give them a read you will love them as much as you will love this book!
.
If you want to be transported into a world of a brotherhood, secrets, scandal and a romance that’s intense and buzzing with chemistry? Then look no further!
.
