Publisher's summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Read by award-winning narrator Jeff Harding.

**NOW A MAJOR PRIME TV SERIES STARRING ALAN RITCHSON**

You do not mess with Jack Reacher.

He is as close to untraceable as a person can get. A loner comfortable in his anonymity and solitude. So when a member of his old Army unit finds a way to contact him, he knows this has to be serious.

You do not mess with the Special Investigators.

In the past the elite team always watched each other's backs. Now one of them has shown up dead in the California desert and six more are missing.

Reacher's old buddies are in big trouble, and he can't let that go.

Although the Jack Reacher novels can be listened to in any order, Bad Luck and Trouble is the 11th in the series.

"The invincible Reacher is as irresistible as ever." (Sunday Telegraph)

‘Jeff Harding’s [...] narration captures Reacher’s character perfectly [...] you have to savour every minute.’ The Sunday Times

Jeff Harding

Jeff Harding is THE reader who can do the Reacher series justice. Love all the JR books read by home so far.

Jack has mates = more trouble, more action.

What made the experience of listening to Bad Luck and Trouble the most enjoyable?

The story is nonsense, but don't let that put you off, Lee Child sells you all of this ridiculousness to the point that you will take a bullet for it. You will probably not want to talk about it in two weeks time down at the pub, but you will buy the next Jack Reacher audiobook from Audible. Jack is an enigma, the improbability of your primordial genetic code. What is not to love with touching your reptilian brain with so much relish? I love the fact that it is such nonsense - so loveable and so enjoyable. Perfect fiction and escape.

What did you like best about this story?

It Jack, he's back and he's got mates. Baddies fear and tremble!

Which scene was your favorite?

The first scene, no, correction the last scene.... Hum, in reconsideration the middle bit.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Moved me? What kind of question is this for a Jack Reacher novel? It does not move, it kicks your butt.

iI hope they introduce O’Donnel And Dixon Again.

Don't mess with the Investigators

Jack with some of his old team. Not the usual loner this time, but still good, revenge, naive baddies, a little laboured with the constant drives through LA, but overall enjoyable.

Think Jack's showing his age

Have been a constant Reacher fan but whether it was the almost tired voice given to him by Mr Harding or my personal attitude at the time, I felt that Jack was also tired of being leader of the push. There was certainly plenty of action but not the usual edginess to his character. Maybe there were too many characters to contend with.

There's always a runt in the litter.

Not up to the usual standard. Soft ending. Very well read by a master of his craft.
