Publisher's summary

What leads a high school dropout to rise as a Special Forces operative, a devoted missionary, and a fervent evangelist in the globe’s most perilous regions? What transforms a defiant youth into a dedicated servant of the divine, delivering Christ’s teachings to countless Muslims and offering solace to both Jews and Palestinians amid strife? And how does a man of commerce confront ruin, stare down death, and emerge touched by divine benevolence and might?

Terry McIntosh’s narrative is one of profound metamorphosis. His tale unfolds from the depths of Vietnam’s wilderness to the bustling streets of Israel and Palestine. It’s a saga of faith, valor, and compassion. McIntosh divulges his role in disseminating the Christian creed via Islamic television, igniting spiritual awakening in Palestine, and navigating the labyrinth of political machinations. With candor, he acknowledges his missteps and battles, and the redemptive power of grace that reshaped his existence.

“The Making of a Missionary” transcends mere biography. It stands as a witness to the Almighty’s formidable presence and affection, beckoning us to embrace His vision for our destiny.
A review: THE REAL DEAL BY Louise Barnett Sparks
Wow! What a great book, I could not put it down. The book is both entertaining and inspirational. I have found that people especially non-Christians are so quick to judge people and what they may see of a person at this stage in their life. They often think the person has it all together and everything comes easy for them and have no idea of where the Lord has brought them from. The Making of a Missionary is the real deal. Anyone that doubts that the Lord can use them or feeling unworthy to do such work should read this book, it is a real inspiration! Terry McIntosh tells his story in such a colorful and vivid way that he transports you to these different eras and you can imagine yourself in some of these situations and think what would I do if it was me. I highly recommend this book to anyone to read. Thanks! Terry McIntosh for sharing your story.
