Publisher's summary

After a massive wave of disappearances, 26-year-old CIA analyst Everett Carroll finally believes what he's been told about the biblical prophecy of the rapture. But will he be able to survive the gauntlet of destruction known as the Great Tribulation? Seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven vials of God's wrath are about to be poured out upon the earth, and woe to the inhabitants thereof! Global currencies have collapsed, famine and plague have claimed the lives of millions, and the world has crumbled into chaos. The only reason Everett and his girlfriend, Courtney, have survived the mayhem is because they were warned by John Jones, Everett's recently deceased boss, that all of these tragedies would occur. And what's more, through his inside knowledge at the agency, mixed with his interpretation of prophecy, Jones predicted that a world leader would ride in on a white horse to fix the ills of the planet. But who is this leader and what is his motivation for mandating the new identification implant and the global cashless currency?

Everett is surprised when he finds out that Elijah, the Messianic Jewish hermit who lives on the mountain above their retreat, did not disappear along with the rest of the Christians. When he tells Everett of a special mission that God has given him, the old prophet gives Everett more questions than answers.

This is the highly-anticipated follow-up series to the best-selling trilogy, The Days of Noah, which chronicles the economic, moral, and social collapse of the United States.

As with all books by Mark Goodwin, this book contains no profanity and no embarrassing sex scenes. However, if you're offended by conservative principles and references to scripture, this book might not be for you.

WOW!

Great way to continue with the "Day's Of Noah" series. I absolutely loved the characters and now we get to find out what those who were left behind must endure to survive.
Mark Goodwin mixes scripture and prophecy with this fictional tale to create a wonderful story.

Kevin Pierce does a great job bringing these characters to life with his excellent style of narration. His cadence and character voice changes are impeccable.

If you are looking for a faith based tale of survival in the end of days then you'll love both series. I HIGHLY recommend getting The Days of Noah first so the story and characters to this point will be more easily understood.

A Great Addition To Compliment The Previous Series

This was another great book from Mark Goodwin! The characters are enjoyable and the story is decent! The narration was excellent as always from Kevin Pierce! I recommend this book and all of Mark's books for those interested in stories regarding the end of times, or SHTF, or WROL genre. Especially good for those new to being prepared or people who don't like zombies!

Worth the Read

I read the Days of Noah series of bpoks and enjoyed them. I enjoyed this first book of the four for the Days of Elijah series. It pickd up where the Noah series ends. While a good work of fiction I learned something about our Easter observances as a church. Again, like Mr. Goodwin says, it is a work of fiction. Thank you Mr. Goodwin.

I enjoy the way this author writes.

it's refreshing to read a story in this genre that is not full of inappropriate words and actions. Obviously there are going to be bad things that happen which are part of end times, but not all people speak or act like some other stories in the same field

addicting

The magic of a long series is to have the characters be interesting enough to maintain readers' attention even as the plot has both a near and far conclusion. Cliff hangers are unsatisfying and no one in his right mind reads a book which says at its conclusion, in effect, "Gotcha! Now read my new book."
Goodwin appears to thread this conundrum expertly. The characters, a group of five survivors during the end times, navigate their increasingly desperate world with heart and wisdom, guided by the very human but elusive Elijah. The ending is entirely satisfying even as it points toward more to come

mixed review

I enjoyed hearing about the end times. The book has a distracting influence of right wing attitude.

You must Read!

David Goodwin does such an Amazing job with his books. I relisten to them all. I love how he gives verses from the Bible. Folks we are heAded to theses times he talks about. You better have your lives right and profess Jesus Christ died for our sin. Devote your life to the Lord God Almighty. Don’t be one that is left behind and have to go through just what the characters in this book do! It’s so easy and God will never leave you.
Thank you Mark for writing all your books . They are spot on and eye opening!

Powerful

Although the story is fictional, this powerful novel shows such a sense of urgency to reach the lost as our world will fall into such devastation. Our only hope is in our savior.
