Story
Told from four-year-old Laura's point of view, this story begins in 1871 in a little log cabin on the edge of the Big Woods of Wisconsin. Laura lives in the little house with her pa, her ma, her sisters Mary and Carrie, and their trusty dog, Jack. Pioneer life is sometimes hard for the family, since they must grow or catch all their own food as they get ready for the cold winter. But it is also exciting as Laura and her family celebrate Christmas with homemade toys and treats, do the spring planting, bring in the harvest, and make their first trip into town.

Publisher's summary
A favorite and a classic for all ages, Anne of Green Gables, has warmed hearts and brought joy to generations of readers. This nostalgic coming of age story tells the timeless tale of a spunky, lovable, adventurous young girl who desires greatly to find a place she can call home. Sent away from her family and unwanted by the relatives who receive her, she yearns for love and acceptance, without having to fully sacrifice her whimsical and often naive way of viewing the world. She encourages her friends and relatives to find the dreamer and adventurer within themselves, an often scandalous attempt in a town of tradition and in a home with strict rules and expectations. Anne “with an e” has helped readers since its earliest publication to find magic in the mundane, the romance of Shakespeare in the local pond, and optimism in even the darkest and most embarrassing moments of a young girl's life.
This series, published by ONE audiobooks, seeks to produce Classic titles read by well known and loved audiobook narrators. ONE takes great care to cast these titles with readers who will provide an unmatched listening experience for these important works.

Story
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.
