La novela total?
Es un típico libro de Michelle Houellebecq, Con todo lo bueno y malo que esto significa. Tiene mejores libros. Me parece absurdo que se le califique de novela total. Avanza muy lento y en ocasiones es repetitiva. Me gustaron las partes donde se aborda directamente los problemas filosóficos y sociológicos en diálogos con los personajes.

Magnífica evolución personal y familiar del protagonista. Desde una vida profesional de rutina, hacia el enfrentamiento de conflictos familiares estresantes, que sin embargo, contribuyeron a allanar el distanciamiento con la esposa. Y cuando por fin el triunfo llegó a su vida, le tocó enfrentarse a la mayor decisión a tomar: aceptar una mutilación física para tal vez, sobrevivir, un tiempo más o evadir lo primero, entregándose a salidas menos efectivas?
El final muy humano y realista, y hasta poético, al retomar las creencias sobre la reencarnación, sustentada por la esposa.
Interesante personalidad la del.protagonista y muy definidas la del resto de los participantes.
Muy buena narración la de Romero.
