Publisher's summary

The Wilders know their weddings and this time it’s for one of their own.

Naomi and Amos have been the secret backbone to the Wilder Brothers’ Retreat and Winery for years.

They’ve also loved and hated each other along the way.

Their on and off again relationship has always worked for them, but now it’s getting in the way of the next Wilder Wedding.

If they don’t figure out what they want, one of them will have to do what they feared: leave the Wilders.

But if they take that leap, they might just break.

Or finally have what they’ve always wanted.

Each other.

Who doesn’t love the Wilder family?

Lucy Rivers and Lance Greenfield’s incredible voices brought Carrie Ann Ryan’s wonderful characters and storyline to life and I couldn’t help getting completely lost and never wanting it to end.

Amos and Naomi

This story centres on Amos and Naomi who worked at the Retreat before it was bought by the Wilder brothers. Naomi is the Inn Keeper and Amos tends the Vines. They are both considered family by all of the Wilders, who were happy when the two of them became an item. But recently Amos broke things off with Naomi and now neither of them is happy and their unhappiness is starting to affect their work.

Naomi's father and her brothers are selfish horrid people who don't respect her and feel she should just stay home to look after her drunken father. So it's not surprising that Naomi considers the Wilders her real family and The Wilder Retreat her only home.

Amos was married before but to the wrong woman, he loved his ex-wife but refused to give up his job at The Retreat and move to New York on a whim to be with her. She blamed him for trying to hold her back and so they divorced. Now he's allowing his fears of Naomi doing the same to ruin what they could have together.

A Wilder Wedding tell what happened and why, and takes us on an emotional and heart-wrenching rollercoaster ride. Naomi's distress and decision-making process moved me as did Amos' inability to vocalize his feelings and tell Naomi he loved her. At times I wanted to shake some sense into him but fortunately, he overcame his fears and things worked out beautifully.

This book which was beautifully narrated by Lucy Rivers and Lance Greenfield

Naomi and Amos finally get their book

A Wilder Wedding is not about a Wilder, but about two characters who have supported the Wilders. They have kept the Wilder Retreat and Winery running while each of the brothers and, now, cousins have been off finding love and fighting for their happily ever after.

Amos and Naomi have an on-again/off-again relationship. She loves him and wants more than he is willing to give. At the end of Moments For You, we find out that Naomi and Amos have broken up. She wants marriage and a family. Amos was previously married and it ended badly. He says all he can give her is a friends with benefits relationship. Nothing more.

Both are miserable after the breakup, but neither is willing to do anything about it. Until Naomi is attacked. When Amos finds her, he immediately switches to take charge mode. He takes care of her and makes her feel treasured. But in her mind, this doesn't change anything. He's still not willing to l et go of his past and try again.

When the Wilder brothers confront him about being an idiot, he finally admits his feelings. They spur him on to do something about it before she gets away.

Will he take the Wilders's advice and go get the girl or will he let her go and be miserable and have her be his one true regret in life?

It has been awhile since I've listened to Lance Greenfield and it was such a joy having him in my ears again. I love the tenor of his voice. Lucy Rivers is always a gem and this book is no exception.

Finally Naomi and Amo's story!!

This quick book was a great way to get Naomi and Amos's story. Both character's have been supporting characters throughout this series but their history was briefly touched upon in the last book of this series.

Naomi is the inn keeper for the Wilder resort. She has left her abusive family that continues to call and demean her for her choice in leaving while also trying to make her feel guilty about her choice to leave and not care for her father. She is feeling stuck in her career - a career that she loves with the Wilders. She also has had an on again off again relationship with Amos - a man that she feels as if she loves but doesn't know where she stands with him and doesn't feel that she can be around due to her heartache with him.

Amos is one of the wine makers for the winery of the resort. He wasn't looking for a relationship after his failed marriage but just can't stay away from Naomi. He feels protective of her and attracted to her while only wanting what is best for her and not seeing that he is what she needs in her life.

In typical Ms Ryan fashion there is a sense of danger as Naomi gets attacked and Amos steps up vowing to protect her. In fact, I think all of her characters no matter the series are doomed for danger whether they are looking for it or not - it simply finds them. The chemistry between the characters was off the charts and explosive. The story moved along well despite there being a few characters that did not need to be involved - the repeated calls from her family while she self depreciated herself for her decisions and the appearance of Amo's ex-wife and new family only driving home his feelings of established inadequacy about his failed marriage.

Overall this quick story was a good book. It filled in some of the blanks about the supporting characters of the series and was a nice break from the main characters from the series.

Short story that was needed

We've seen Amos and Naomi dance around each other and now we get their story. They have had a previous relationship but they broke it off. Amos gets a lot of advice from the Wilders to let Naomi know how he feels before it's too late. Even though this was short, I didn't feel that it was rushed. Lance Greenfield and Lucy Rivers were great narrators.

I love that the side characters get their HEA

I love that these side characters got their own story. I had been keeping close tabs on these two through the other Wilder books and was so excited to see their HEA come through. I love the banter and the back and forth of these two finding their way. The way they stand up for each other to be there when it matters most.

Love

Such a beautiful, short well written story about two people they deserve to be together. Loved reading this story. I even loved the HEA more.

FINALLY!

If you have been reading this series from the beginning you will recognize Amos and Naomi as two important people in The Wilder Retreat and Winery, Naomi is the Innkeeper and Amos takes care of the Grapes for the Wine they produce. They have had an on-and-off relationship for years, and after their last breakup, it wasn't looking good for them. But as they are an intricate part of the Wilders Resort you know the brothers and their wives will play an important part in this story. There is also a bit of Suspense surrounding Naomi, and someone from Amos' past visits the Retreat and Winery which causes more problems for him.

The title of the book and knowing it was going to be Amos and Naomi's story was a bit confusing because they aren't Wilder's but we DO get a Wilder Wedding, we get to witness the wedding of Ridge Wilder and Aurora, who got their HEA in the last book, MOMENTS FOR YOU. Their wedding was the backdrop to different events happening throughout the book and I enjoyed seeing these two say their I Do's after everything they had been through.

I listened to the audiobook version of A WILDER WEDDING, Lance Greenfield and Lucy Rivers did a phenomenal job bringing Amos and Naomi's story to life.

I recommend this book to readers who have enjoyed this series, anyone looking for a Steamy Contemporary Romance that can be read in a couple of hours, and anyone who enjoys Second Chance Romances, or Age Gap Romances.

Happy Reading!!!

Quick but fun, angsty and steamy read!

I love angsty, emotional romances where we start almost midway through the couples story. In this one Amos and Naomi have been coworkers for a while now, they started at the Wilder Resort before it was even owned by the Wilder family and had chemistry and attraction that neither could deny. However, Amos, having been burned before, is reticent about formalizing their relationship or taking it further than it's gone, refusing to admit to deep feelings and long term commitment. Because of this they've been off and on, and Naomi has had enough and needs to either have more from Amos or will need to move on, finding a new place to be where she won't be in daily contact with Amos. Complicating the situation is that Naomi seems to now be the target of someone out to harm her. I love stories where they have already been together and especially ones that are angsty where the heroine is unsure of the hero's feelings for her. I'm not fond though of misunderstandings or when it takes the hero too long to come around. I loved getting to see the characters from previous books, and upcoming ones, as well as the wedding! Definitely recommend this one - it's a quick read that encompasses many things in on - angsty, fun, romantic, steamy and suspenseful!

I went back and forth on this between the ebook and the narration - really enjoyed listening to it - makes the story really come to life and upped the angst factor quite a bit!

Great listen! Loved getting Amos and Naomi’s story!

I really enjoyed this story! I loved finally getting Amos and Naomi story and seeing them finally get their happy ending. This one definitely fills in all the blanks and missing pieces so you can start with this one though it is book 7.5 in the series and we have seen Amos and Naomi throughout and know that they have been on/off but not really what their reasons were. We finally get to dive in to Amos and Naomi and see how they started and watch them struggle to find their way forward. I enjoyed watching them figure things out and a way for them to make it work. Someone is after Naomi and she is getting ready to make a big decision about possibly leaving since things are over with Amos and she can't go back because she still loves him but if things won't/can't change, she can't do it anymore. Amos has to figure out exactly what he is willing to lose and what is holding him back and find a way past that. This story is a novella so on the shorter side, but it works because of all the history that Amos and Naomi have together. They know each other well they just have to find a way to get over their past and over that final hurdle that has been holding them back. This story is emotional in that regard and I thought it was well done. I really enjoyed it and finally getting to see them find their happy ending.
The narrators did a good job with the characters and the story.
