Christmas was only three weeks away, and Duane Wilson had sent a telegram back to Ellen explaining that he had been injured in the Civil war and walked with a limp. It prevented him from dancing, but not from being a devoted parent or a loving husband. He loved children and had always wanted a family of his own to nurture and love. Ok, so we all know that the cover is AI generated
And it’s read by text to speech. We know what we’re getting into, I mean, the book is set in 1870. With that in mind, look at the cover again. Weird, right?
However, I was surprised by the contents of the book. I did not expect it to be AI written, and I’m 90% sure it was, possibly without a human giving it a read afterwards.
There was no conflict in the book, nothing to overcome. It wasn’t structured like a normal story at all. Certain phrases were repeated frequently and for no reason. About halfway through, suddenly the church and god talk starts, though there was none or nearly none before that.
It was just… weird, and maybe worth a listen as long as you know it for the science experiment that it apparently is.
