In a small back alley of Tokyo, there is a café that has been serving carefully brewed coffee for more than 100 years. Local legend says that this shop offers something else besides coffee - the chance to travel back in time. Over the course of one summer, four customers visit the café in the hopes of making that journey. But time travel isn’t so simple, and there are rules that must be followed. Most important, the trip can last only as long as it takes for the coffee to get cold.

Story
In a small back alley of Tokyo, there is a café that has been serving carefully brewed coffee for more than 100 years. Local legend says that this shop offers something else besides coffee - the chance to travel back in time. Over the course of one summer, four customers visit the café in the hopes of making that journey. But time travel isn’t so simple, and there are rules that must be followed. Most important, the trip can last only as long as it takes for the coffee to get cold.

A well thought out story.
I found this to be a good story, that kept me entertained throughout. It was carefully put together, written from the perspective of a school girl. A little immature at times.

Good story, incredibly annoying narrator
I really wish I had read this book instead of listened to it. I really felt like the narrator was trying waaay too hard for no reason, giving characters (like Cara for example) completely inappropriate voices for nooo reason whatsoever. My feeling is that we would have been much better off if this book was simply read out in her normal, monotonous voice. I feel like I lost much of the enjoyment because of her terrible acting...

Can not listen to this!
Listening to this book on Audible, I got 25 minutes in and had to stop it. The narrator's voice is ear piercing and, regardless of how good the story might be, I can not listen to that voice for 8 hours.
