Publisher's summary

While walking her poodle, Olivia Limoges discovers a dead body buried in the sand. Could it be connected to the bizarre burglaries plaguing Oyster Bay, North Carolina?

At every crime scene, the thieves set up odd tableaus: a stick of butter with a knife through it, dolls with silver spoons in their mouths, a deck of cards with a missing queen. Olivia realizes that each setup represents a cliché. And who better to decode the cliché clues than her Bayside Book Writers group?

Excellent Cozy series

Characters are beautifully drawn and there is a nice mix of mystery and story. I'm becoming fast friends with Olivia, I want to write such quick witted dialogue some day.

Great read

Loved the story, so well done. The most touching scene was Olivia meeting her dad. I felt like I was in the room.

gave it some thought

Would you listen to A Deadly Cliché again? Why?

no...but then I don't listen twice.

What did you like best about this story?

the story itself

What about Karen White’s performance did you like?

at first I thought her too clipped too precise. but then realized it really did seem to fit the character. in the end i actually enjoyed it.

Any additional comments?

this book was a great one to listen to while doing housework. I love any book where i can get into the story and still get things done. good job

Engaging Second in Series

This series is quickly growing on me 😊. Olivia and her poodle, Captain Haviland discover a buried body on the beach, all the way up to his HEAD! Not only that, he is completely nude and has a shovel in his hand . . . 😲 As if Olivia doesn't already have enough going on in her life, she receives a letter making her question if her long missing father really is dead as she's always been told . . . Police Chief Sawyer Rawlins warns Olivia to stay out of the investigation, as the heat between the two continues to spark . . . and the burglaries around town continue, with the culprits leaving clues along the way. Excellent second in the series that left me itching to listen to Book Three!
