Unexpected

I lived here for two years and wanted to know the secrets this town was holding. It was nice to picture the familiar places that were mentioned in this book.

Surprise

Well Mr Freeman you got me good. I was writing the review in my head for a long time that the main character was the most inept thrill writer ever. Why was she working this on her own when she had so many resources at her fingertips. Fortunately you pulled it out. No spoilers here. Listen for yourselves folks.

Kept my attention, good read

This was a good book, it really kept me on the edge of my seat. I have to agree that the ending was very unusual but it didn’t ruin the book at all for me.

Some reviewers were hard on the author but I think they tried to take the plot too seriously. I personally want to escape and be entertained while I am reading and I try not to overthink it.

I definitely will be checking the author out for future book releases.

this book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The way it twisted and turned and ended up was amazing.

A great, edge-of-your-seat thriller!

The narrator was very effective at transitioning from character to character. The plot had twists that did not reveal how the book would end until the story truly came to an end. Well done.

Didn't see that coming!

What a great read and wild ride. Really well written, I'll be checking out this author's other work.

Pretty cool story that had me hooked and going one way and then intriguing 180 corse change. Nice job.

Wanted to love it

January LaVoy is amazing as always! This is the second book written by Brian Freeman and narrated by LaVoy that I have listened to. I was taken by complete surprise in The Deep Deep Snow which I loved. This one I was not. It was too easy to get ahead of the plot which spoils the book. The writing was great and so easy to listen to. LaVoy is a master of voices! I will look for another Freeman/LaVoy book!

Didn’t see that coming

I really enjoyed this book all the way through but
towards the end when everything comes together, I was mind blown! I didn’t see that ending at all!
