It hadn't been a problem, not at first. Megan was still his best friend. Still just a kid. Then a pre-teen. Then a teenager, their bond growing with every year. In a blink, the day he dreaded arrived. His eighteenth birthday. Then he became a legal adult, and Megan turned fifteen. Fifteen. To go near her would make him a felon.

The day Jack disappeared without a word, Meg's world caved in. He left a note and nothing else. One flimsy piece of paper.
She wanted to hate him. She'd tried to hate him every day for over a decade. But her heart refused to listen. Whether he came back for her in weeks, months, or years, her soul would never give up on him and their love.

Childhood best friends --> lovers
When you know, you know. I loved the teases we got about Meg and Jack in earlier books and eagerly awaited their story. Not gonna lie, my heart broke for her. 11 years. Ughh. Devotion and fate came through again. As with most of the later books in this series, I wanted more of their story. Hoping what looks to be a sequel series on the horizon gives us more details and fleshes out more family dynamics.
