Great story

This book has the perfect mix of all the elements we love in an exceptional romance. You'll fall head over toes for Bonnie and Rowan as they become the best versions of themselves on their road to forever, and their story is one you won’t soon forget. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Paula Nederhorst & Antony Ferguson do a wonderful job portraying & bringing the characters to life.

Loved the book, enjoyed the audio

The performers were good and matched what I thought the characters Bonnie & Rowan would sound like. If you like a Scottish accent & story set in the Highlands, this audiobook is for you!

Decent book

Didn’t mind the women’s voice, but the man’s voice was not very good. Good story line.

I wanted more

First off I will say so funny laughed so hard!’ Second cute story so cute and funny but hit on some deep feelings
However that epilogue could have been about 20 minutes longer sigh 😔 still good book and so funny

Cute story

I think I would have liked this book better if I had just read it. The female narrator was ok, but the male narrator sounded computer generated at times and sounded more English than Scottish.

Lovely escapism

Have always enjoyed Meghan Quinn's tales, and this one did not disappoint. Very much in keeping with romance stories set in Scotland before the craze of a certain series. It captured the romance of the setting as well as the characters.

Enjoyed every moment of it, and the accents were not hard to follow as well. Very much worth the time and the listen.

Wanted this to be better

Took me a while to get into and finish this book.

So cheesy it’s cringey at some points. Imagine quotes from inspirational posters added in like normal dialogue.

Cool setting and characters are what made me want to finish.

Male narrator when doing Bonnie’s voice was rough.

WOW. In the many many years of reading, i can count on 2 hands how many books i couldn't put down. i average 100 books a year. I COULDN'T PUT THIS DOWN. I love this book so much. its going in my permanent library. This book had me feeling emotions. SCOTLAND!!!! I need more!!!! This is my first book review ever. Thank you!

Entertaining and hilariously witty

A beautiful story about trusting yourself, valuing yourself, and facing your problems head on. Along with all the life lessons are also plenty of laugh out loud moments that will leave you chuckling about it even after you put the book down. A romcom that will leave you in tears with a smile on your face.

Bonnie and Dakota are tapped out in L.A. with no money, no job, and an eviction notice on the door. So what’s to stop them from answering an ad and flying to Scotland on a whim? Absolutely nothing. But as they quickly find out, there’s so much more to it than they originally thought. Including a tall, strong, and handsome handyman who wants nothing to do with them.

Featuring a spunky and stubborn blonde Bonnie who had me laughing more times than I can count, this book has so much to offer. Best friend, Dakota, is struggling with her new LGBTQ+ identity and dives head first with her into new adventures in an effort to get away from her inner turmoil. No matter what stage in life you are, there’s a character in this book you can completely relate to. A really fun and entertaining read!

Beautiful story.

I’m very surprised at how much I enjoyed The Highland Fling. As soon I as started to read I realized the story was full of laughter, a solid story line, amazing characters including a goat named Fergus. This book is a mixture of a grumpy hero with a sweet side, sexy and full of emotions. An enjoyable book.
