Realistic romance and humanity/behavior of people

Loved it and it was realistic for a nice change in my readings. It seemed as if all of the characters were people I knew.

Loved this story!

The narration was great. Loved how this love story also led to personal growth of the couple as well.

Wanted to be in their world

I really enjoyed this story and listened to it mainly on my commute. When I got to my destination I wanted to hear more. I loved the real vibe of Britta.I felt like I knew this character. She was so relatable! At first the male narrator's voice grated on my nerves, but eventually I got used to it. Don't get me wrong, he's got a great voice but I thought he would be better suited in a more dramatic role. Still I couldn't put it down. The story was great and I'm glad the author gave the disclaimer in the beginning.

Such a fun listen

I really enjoyed listening to the story from the plot to narration....it was such a cute and fun story. I couldn't wait to dive back in when life made me pause it. I am newer to audio books and this was one that would make me a fan of the medium. Bravo all around.

I ended up loving this book, it is the first fiction book that I have listened to on audible and I found myself listening to it as much as I could even falling asleep with AirPods in a couple nights. The story was interesting and I loved the narration.

Feel good romance

I loved everything about this story and really connected with the characters. A wonderful slow burn that’s still exciting!

Exceptionally relatable.

An exceptional book, book read, and listen. Very believable and relatable. I was happy that it was not totally a racial issue, but could have easily manifested, the writer was very intentional and careful with the wording and terms. Wes and Britt were very "needy". They were both intelligent, but I am not sure how Wes recognized love after a painful childhood. Brit was needy because of the exact opposite struggle, a solid childhood with guidance, but self distortions, doubt, and insecurities. They were good for each other without lust, so I hope it lasts. I wonder if having degrees and understanding processes helped them turn their lives around, or if couples with limited exposure to formal education, yet worldly experiences could have made similar life changing decisions. I cheated and read the last chapter, then was intrigued when he told her he liked her, rather than he loved her, initially. I had to go back and finish all chapters. Worth the bazillion dollars I paid. Could not wait for the monthly credit. 100% satisfied, intrigued, and inspired by the lifelike story and presentation.

I will keep this short. I’m actually in tears writing this book. It was amazing. Yes, I’m so happy that Britta got her man. I’m even more happy that Britta found herself. Here’s hoping I will one day too. ❤️

Loved!!!!!!!

This story was so well written I would ignore my husband to listen to it!! I really hope we get to here more from Britta and Wes!!! I completely saw myself in britta some of the things she went through I too have experienced. It’s a great read!
