It's no longer a "foreign language", and now I can invest with greater confidence. Chapter 2: "The Fundamentals to Understand" will get you up to speed on what the experts already know. I am recently widowed and have been considering passive stock market investing, but was afraid to take a risk. Great beginner book!

I listened to this with my 19 year old on the way back to college, we both really enjoyed it. I liked the chapter in saving fees, and the history of how the best invest. I really appreciate the history and love looking at super log term trends. My son really enjoyed chp 7 - Passive Investing. No doubt because he is busy with school and college sports. He talked about implementing several of these strategies over Christmas break, and seeing how "passive" it would be! Thanks for a great listen... I will be purchasing several paperbacks for Christmas gifts!

This detailed book includes so much valuable advice. I have always wanted to invest my own money but have never been confident enough to do it. This book will get me started. The author explains everything from investing, and investment plans, to risk tolerance, the stock market compound interest, brokers, financial advisors, mutual funds, diversification, and even how to sell. This book will help you create a solid financial plan based on your own specific needs and wants. I know moving forward, I will navigate the world of personal finance with much more faith in myself. Non-Human Voice??

The information in this recording seems sound. The recording, however, sounds very much like a machine reader that is available online nowadays, and not a good one! Words are mispronounced and sometimes broken in half, plus the expected cadence of live human speech is not really present all the time which is a telltale sign. Overall, you can understand what is being said and the missed words are not in crucial places.
