From Start to Finsh
Listened to it in one go. I wasn't as excited about Nina until she started showing her caring nature toward Ramon. This was a very delicate but strong story about the challenges of a young leader and his contracted special wife. Definitely love in the most unlikely place.
The talent for the narration brought made me lose my breath a few times.

A little different in the best way
I always tend to enjoy the very protective, all consuming love these men seem to have. It can be Ott but it makes the story have flare and passion. Great first listen and great casting!

A new favorite, male, narrator!
I loved this book. Gregory Salinas is a new favorite narrator! He was so good narrating Roman. Allyson Voller was very good also.

Painted Scars is a very light mafia romance read. Pakhan mafia boss Roman needs a wife and Nina needs her dad not to be killed for taking money from the Russian Bratva. It was meant to be a six-month contract except Roman is smitten by his kooky wife and Nina is charmed by the not so scary bossman. The originality of the heroine was refreshing; she even constructed and acted upon personas for situations, indulging the antihero, and both were left laughing.

This is not a typical dark mafia romance, it is more of a “beginner” version - however it is a good story, beautifully narrated (such lovely voices, perfectly matched to characters!) Highly recommend this!

Strong FMC & an MMC to melt over
This book was the start of a journey I didn’t know I needed. I’ve read a ton of Mafia romances and this series by far is one of top 3 favorites. Nina & Roman set the stage for the perfectly imperfect series. It’s intense, passionate & the storyline is strong with a plot that runs strong. The book is the perfectly imperfect start.
