Telma Guimarães lives in Campinas, SP, Brazil. Telma has published more than 200 books during her 35 years career. She has won two FNLIJ prizes, one for "Oliver Twist", retold, and the other for "Cadê o livro que estava aqui?", which has also won the Jabuti Prize for best illustration (Jana Glatt). She won APCA (Associação Paulista de Críticos de Arte) as best author for "Mago Bitu Fadolento" in 1987, one year after her first book was published. Telma was once an English teacher and has brought her expertise to her workshops with the children and teenagers. She loves what she does.
