Like so many other men, Jake heard snippets on the news, but he never put the pieces together. When the Female Supremacy Party took over the government, he didn’t believe their rhetoric. He assumed their promises were little more than bloated hyperbole. Only now, his wife just received an important letter from the government. Alyssa shows it to him, and it makes something very clear: his status as a citizen has been revoked. With this letter in hand, Alyssa will make her husband understand what this means: he’s now a slave—her slave. If he disobeys, she has right and authority to punish him.
