The Carter villain school has fled into space and joined forces with the Mad King of New Sahana, but Nick and his fellow heroes-in-training won't let them get away. It's a superpowered battle among the stars, and the stakes have never been higher. But when Nick and his team arrive on New Sahana, nothing could prepare them for what they find. Super-charged genocidal soldiers would be one thing, but nothing could prepare them for alien ghosts, a growing blight, and worst of all, a threat from within that threatens to tear the team of heroes apart.

In 2015, Maggie Nichols’s gymnastics career was on fire. Having spent most of her young life training as an elite-level gymnast, Maggie carried the team all-around at the 2015 World Championships, helping to cinch the team gold medal. Next in her sights was the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She was eagerly looking forward to training for the 2016 Olympic Games along with teammates such as Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, and Laurie Hernandez. But on the verge of achieving her lifelong Olympic dream, her world came crashing down.

Nadia Van Dyne is new to this. New to being a super hero, new to being a real friend and stepdaughter (to one of the founding Avengers, no less), new to running her own lab, and new to being her own person, far, far away from the clutches of the Red Room - the infamous brainwashing/assassin-training facility. She's adjusting well to all of this newness, channeling her energy into being a good friend, a good scientist, and a good super hero. It's taking a toll, though, and Nadia's finding that there are never quite enough hours in a day.
