Deep in Antarctica, two researchers find an enigmatic black sphere suspended in the heart of a huge crater. Neither man is ever seen again. Decades later, reality fractures. Dr. James Barron narrowly prevented a catastrophic interdimensional invasion in The Rift. But now he must deal with a myriad of threats as great as the one he overcame. Threats including growing rifts in the fabric of reality, anomalous superstorms, and conspiracies that just might span worlds. Most importantly, he must find a way to save a woman he can't get out of his head, Special Agent Hannah Walker, who vanished through a portal with a treacherous genius named Linus.

Finally reunited on an advanced, alternate Earth where the mighty Roman Empire never died, James, Hannah, and Wolf now stand at the precipice of an interdimensional war threatening to obliterate everything they've fought to protect. As the fabric of existence continues to unravel, unleashing anomalous storms and creating rifts large enough for unstoppable warships to traverse, the trio must find a way to repel a superior force bent on conquest.
