You don't have to be a medical student to know the dead don't walk. Anyone who's buried a pet in the backyard knows they don't even lurch. The night shift in the morgue was supposed to be a chance to study in peace. So Giovanni is stunned when his patient sits up and starts scolding. Poor Giovanni! As if med school wasn't hard enough, he's had to deal with everything, from zombies to voodoo curses that backfired. Suffering from that voodoo curse, Giovanni is still determined to get through medical school. Even if he now howls under the full moon and has to take himself for walkies! But just as he’s getting used to fur and fangs, Giovanni’s zombie returns, leading him to wonder exactly how many other monsters are out there?

Just as hapless med student Giovanni begins gearing up for the Boards, a supernatural crises sweeps the campus. Vampires have taken over the local coffee shops, and nobody can get any studying done! It’s up to Giovanni and his werewolf buddies to save finals in spite of rabid clowns, invading rats, and the very real fear of looking stupid in front of a girl!

Having lost his elderly patient, not once but twice, Giovanni has no choice but to dabble in the Dark Arts again. But trying to communicate with the other side is a tricky business. Will Giovanni be able to control the ghosts he calls up or will Prohibition-era gangsters take him for a little ride? And even if he locates his missing ghost, will he still be able to convince his supervising physicians that he's sane enough to graduate?

When you've raised the dead, battled vampires and werewolves, and passed the Boards, what do you do for an encore? In his final rotations of med school, Giovanni is also desperately searching for Mrs. Harris the dead patient he lost—not once, but twice! Can he find her and help her to “Les Invisibles”, or will he finally be overwhelmed by his growing responsibilities, an increasing number of ghosts, or the misplaced paperwork piling up in the morgue?
