The one thing I crave most in life is freedom. Unfortunately, as the crown princess of all supernaturals, I have responsibilities. Responsibilities that I don’t want. When given the opportunity to be free for a couple of years, I embrace it. But fate has other plans, and I’m thrown into a mystery that threatens to shatter my dreams of freedom and destroy everything my family has built. Dragons are being mind-controlled, and their queen is missing. On top of that, I might have accidentally awakened and drawn the interest of a First.

I’m being followed. I’ve spent a year as a detective, savoring my freedom while a powerful dragon follows me. As they say, ignorance is bliss, so I’m ignoring him. I don’t want to face the consequences if I acknowledge the situation. When I’m contacted by an old acquaintance, I’m thrown into a mystery that threatens to turn the entire paranormal community into rage-filled maniacs.
