At the end of Operation Desert Storm, close friends and female soldiers Chris and Erin go their separate ways--without even saying good-bye. When tragedy reunites them four years later, one's fear of God and the other's faith in Him collide in a different kind of war only one of them can win.

When a massive storm hits Portland, the crew at Kimberley Square is asked to help the police and fire departments in any way they can. Chris and Scott are asked to go out to check on their neighbors, and over the course of three days, they battle their bitterness toward each other, the power and destruction of the storm, and the neediness of the people of Kimberley Square.
