Five years have passed, and the Guardians and the people of the Realm have reached a new, albeit tetchy, equilibrium. The threat of civil war bubbles constantly, but so far, the Guardians have kept control.

Thrust into new roles they’re not ready for, Aeron and Faran must negotiate not only with the enemy, but with their own people in order for the realm to survive. And neither group wants to talk.
