When Siam’s Minister of Defense formally requests assistance analyzing an odd insurgent group the Department of Homeland Security sends Garfield “Gar” Randolph to team up with the Minister’s alluring assistant, Pun. Together they unravel opium operations from A to Z, where “I” stands for Insurgency. Ar Phat, a ruthless Robin Hood of Asia has been meticulous and brilliant in building a secret opium empire.

Garfield “Gar” Randolph is at it again. When asked to track down gold smugglers who are subverting the Hong Kong Gold Trading Mercantile, he forms a team and sets out to poison the well of corruption. The Philippine Government assigns an inexperienced, yet streetwise and strikingly beautiful agent to coordinate with Gar. Almost immediately, lives are in danger as they concoct a solution that is three parts genius, two parts psychological warfare, and one giant part sleight-of-hand.

Included is the last person on earth the US government would want on the mission: a drug lord named Ar Phat. On a converging vector is a missionary nutritionist with six Rohingya orphans.

Neurological scientist Ripon Siraj and his research botanist sister, Rava, search Papua's interior rivers for this rate miracle plant when they become the target of a scurrilous Asian virologist. A co-worker and his girlfriend are mistaken for Rip and Rava and are murdered. Rip calls Washington, DC, for help.
