All Jade really wants is to live a happy life. To do so in 1693, the idea was fairly simple. Don't be different. Jade thought she would be just fine, that is until she encounters a witch and gets cursed. Her life gets turned upside down as she's turned into a Fae and it takes away her ability to tell lies.

In an attempt to escape witch hunters, Jade comes across Reed and Nathaniel, a couple hiding in the woods from the un-accepting world around them. The three of them grow close, but when they are discovered, things go terribly wrong and they can't seem to find a way to fix it.

Along the way, they suffer through heartbreak, betrayal, and self-doubt. They find in the ever-evolving society, the world changes, but people don't, will they ever feel normal again?

Shadows Have Color is the first book of the Dark Origins series.
