I also have a secret. One I can never tell anyone else. When I look someone in the eyes, I can see their deepest secret, the one hidden behind the illusion they show the world. Everything was going so well for me before I became a vampire. Now, I've got a target on my back, and my main ally is a vampire who still hates me.  

I've escaped the hunters guild twice. Which begs the question why I'm going back now. At least this time, I have my vampires with me, the men who are proving to be more than just allies. My name is Ashryn Barker, and I'm going to be your downfall.

Growing up in the vampire hunters guild isn't easy; neither is killing vampires. But I don't let that stop me. I'm one of the best and no vampire is going to forget that. Except that the truth isn't always what it seems and I'm in for a rude awakening when I discover it. I just hope it won't change me too much.
