Story
On Christmas Eve 2007, Judy and Wayne Anderson's daughter, Michele, and her boyfriend, Joseph McEnroe, arrived at their home for a family meal. Unbeknownst to them, their daughter was armed with a loaded 9 mm pistol, and McEnroe was carrying a .357 Magnum. Both parents were callously shot dead by the pair, and their bodies were hidden from view. Two and a half hours later, Michele's brother, Scott, his wife, Erica, and their two children, Olivia (5) and Nathan (3), arrived at the house. Within the hour they, too, had been pitilessly slain in an act of violence.

Story
On January 23, 2014, the author reported for jury duty without taking notice to the media vehicles lined in front of the courthouse. He checked in unaware that 1,200 others were also being counted as potential jurors. He did not know when he walked into the courtroom that the case of premeditated murder would change his life. It would seem that the most important question of the day, as asked to every potential juror, was whether he could, if the circumstances were correct and the law dictated as such, apply the death penalty to the defendant?

Story
Readings and Thoughts on Poetry, Faith & The Imagination. All I know is a door into the dark. Outside, old axles and iron hoops rusting; Inside, the hammered anvil’s short-pitched ring, The unpredictable fantail of sparks Or hiss when a new shoe toughens in water. The anvil must be somewhere in the centre, Horned as a unicorn, at one end and square, Set there immoveable: an altar Where he expends himself in shape and music. Sometimes, leather-aproned, hairs in his nose, He leans out on the jamb, recalls a clatter Of hoofs where traffic is flashing in rows; Then grunts and goes in, with a ...

Story
Walk and not faint is a site that is based on the first part of Isaiah 40:13 “But those who wait on the Lord, Shall renew their strength…” Now waiting on the Lord through the difficulty and uncertainty of life is not easy at all: It’s often dark, tragic and depressing. And so I started writing some of these audio episodes to a friend of mine to encourage him His name is Ben. So if you hear him referenced – you’ll know what’s going on. These short episodes are written and spoken in the form of personal devotionals or excerpt from another author or random thoughts that have ...
