One of the richest ways to describe our relationship with Jesus is as his betrothed. We are engaged to be married to the perfect husband. Just as Jesus is the second Adam, restoring mankind's relationship with the father, we are the second Eve, the divinely given helpmate for our husband. Throughout life we pack what Dr. Myron Raney calls parachutes. Things that by faith we trust will someday open up and carry us to a place of safety and security. Parachutes can include our education, careers, and relationships to name a few. But our eternal enemy Satan is always working to sabotage our parachutes. Of course God is there to help you by His Spirit but you must be committed to playing your part.

End the confusion! God's people have been sold a bill of goods. If you think about it at all, evolution could not be true. If this young earth is really billions of years old, then God is a liar. You know that isn't true. This book tells the tale of God's creation lovingly, by a man who only recently came to his senses. It had been obvious when he visited the Grand Canyon that this hadn't happened over countless millennia. It had happened quickly with a massive flood of water. God made man. We didn't come from apes.

Book Eight, Truth to Trust, answers the lie that truth is relative and that there is no such thing as absolute truth. Not only is truth absolute, but also we can know it to be true.

This book is direct and to the point. In it we share a word the church does not want to hear in this modern age of political correctness. But we really need to consider the implications. "You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it." We must start with the narrowness. Many people are made nervous by this.

Most Christians desire only mountaintop experiences with God, but life isn't all mountaintops. There are valleys we must go through from mountaintop to mountaintop, and it is through the valleys that we experience the truly victorious Christian life.
