When Bell hears that Doctor Laurier has been called in to judge if a patient is sane or not, he asks to be informed of the outcome. Rather than just hearing of the outcome, the doctor returns from his visit to ask Bellor his assistance. There is some mystery afoot, with unhappy lovers and talking statues that only Bell can resolve.
