Jack London (born John Griffith Chaney, January 12, 1876 - November 22, 1916) was an American author, journalist, and social activist. A DAY'S LODGING: It was the gosh-dangdest stampede I ever seen. London's "strength of utterance" is at its height in his stories, and they are painstakingly well-constructed.
