We will discuss the links between the parts of the inner force process and self-connection, regeneration of our inner world and transformation. We will talk through how the various parts of the innerforce process fit together and support us and we will talk about how to reconnect to ourselves when we’ve lost the connection. In our New Ventures West segment, we will be joined by Cynthia Luna who is a Partner of LF Leadership and a faculty member of New Ventures West who will share her expertise with us. As we develop a method through which we can turn inward daily and throughout the course of our days, we fuel our connection to ourselves, and to others.   • Cultivating Agency

    This week we are talking about the power of cultivating agency in ourselves and each other. We will talk about what agency is and why it matters. We will introduce a simple framework to help us see the agency we have in a situation at work or in our lives. We will review the various parts of the innerforce process that support us in both meeting a situation and seeing our agency in the midst of it. In our New Ventures West segment, we will be joined by Melinda Stephenson who is a certified Integral coach and consultant with over 22 years of experience in human development and who also serves as a member of the New Ventures West faculty. As we learn how to simultaneously hold the difficulty in a situation and cultivate our own agency, we expand our capacity and resiliency to meet the situation and thrive in the midst of it.   • The Power of Restoring Ourselves

    This week we are talking about the power of restoring ourselves. We will talk about the process of discovering what actually restores us versus what the cultural norms maintain as restorative. We will explore a breath of different types of sources of nourishment and we will get tactical about how we can access these in the midst of our busy daily lives. We will discuss why it matters and what gets in our way of making it happen. In our New Ventures West Segment, we will be joined by Melissa McVicker, a certified integral coach and the Associate VIce President of HR Communication at Stanford University who will share her experience on this topic. As we learn the power of restoring ourselves, and the impact deep restoration can have in our work and in our lives, we can begin to step into this exploration in a new way which supports us in deepening our connection with ourselves and others.     This week we will explore the power of boundaries. Setting, maintaining and adjusting boundaries takes practice. We will break down the concept and talk about why boundaries are critical to our effectiveness as leaders and our well-being. We will get underneath what can make setting, holding and adjusting boundaries tricky and discuss some strategies for dealing with what can get in our way. In our New Ventures West Segment, we will be joined by Marina Illich who is a certified Integral Coach and member of the New Ventures West Faculty and she will share expertise and experience on this topic. As we learn the power of boundaries and increase our ability to set, maintain and adjust them, we develop more capacity to stay in connection with ourselves and others.     This week we will explore the power of practicing courage. Courage isn’t something we are born with, it is something we can learn to cultivate. As we get familiar with how fear shows up for us in our lives, we can learn tricks of how engage with it so that we are in the drivers seat instead of making decisions based on fear. Any meaningful conversation about courage has to step into the territory of vulnerability, we will wade in and talk about why it matters in our leadership. In our New Ventures West Segment, we will be joined by Justin Wise, New Ventures West senior faculty member and founder of Third Spacing Coaching in the UK who will share his vast experience and perspective on this topic. As we step into practicing courage, we can access deeper dimensions of ourselves, our teams and our individual and collective capacities. This is what being connected to our innerforce is all about.     This week we will explore the power of owning our emotions. Research says that high performing teams have one thing in common -- psychological safety. We will learn what that is and how we can create it. As we learn to turn towards our emotions, tune into them, name them and know the choice we have, we can own our emotions which strengthens the connection we have with ourselves and with others. In our New Ventures West Segment, we will be joined by Angella Okawa, who is both a psychotherapist and a certified integral coach through New Ventures West and will share her experience and training with this topic.     This week we will explore the power of our inner fuel tank. We will talk about how we care for ourselves impacts our emotions, connect us into our innerforce and supports high performance so that we have more capacity to meet situations in the way we intend. This is a new definition of self-care and we are calling it fueling up. We will be talking about how we can engage in fueling up while we work, not thinking about them as two separate acts — fueling up versus work. We will be joined by Adam Klein who is a practicing Integral Coach, Global Graduate Director for New Ventures West and a faculty member of the school who will share his expertise on this topic. As we learn the impact that taking care of our physical bodies can have on our emotional states, we position ourselves to drive high performance in ourselves and our teams.   • The Power of Tracking our Internal States

    This week we will explore how we can more precisely track our internal states. We will learn how tracking what’s happening in our physical and emotional body can support us in our work and in our relationships and we will learn a specific framework and discuss tactics, including building our mindfulness practice, for doing this more effectively. We will be joined by Michelle Gale who was formerly the Head of Learning and Leadership Development at Twitter and recently published Mindful Parenting in a Messy World - Living with Presence and Parenting with Purpose. As we learn to more precisely track our internal states, we build our emotional intelligence skills which support our connection to ourselves and with others.
