There is a yearning inside of you for a deep and meaningful relationship with God. You love Him, but not as much as you know you could. Or should.

You struggle with feelings of guilt because you know that often you’re just going through the motions rather than eagerly drinking from the well that never runs dry.

You go through spurts of motivation and excitement and then crash down on feelings of discouragement, apathy, or hopelessness.

I know what it’s like to feel just a little lost. A little bit stuck. Or even, just flat-out complacent.

I understand that the reality of mom life and the day-to-day tasks can get in the way of all our best intentions. I also know that sometimes it’s just sheer exhaustion that keeps us from moving forward and growing in the Word of God and in our faith.

God knows that motherhood is demanding. Yet He made a way for you to be a mom and have a vibrant spiritual life and connection with Him at the same time. He means for you to thrive in life, not merely get by.

Let me be that voice in your ear (literally and figuratively) pushing you forward. Encouraging you. Sharing stories of healing and victories. Reminding you of His amazing love and amazing grace.

And, maybe, giving you a swift kick in the pants to keep you going.

My name is Helen Siemens, and in this podcast, I want to talk to you like I would to a friend over a hot cup of coffee, reminding you of the truth you already know. Stirring you up to love and good works. Cheering you on as your sister in Christ, walking with you through spiritual growth and intentional living.

  • 57 | Stop Waiting to Grow, Why Your Spiritual Maturity Is Your Responsibility
    Apr 8 2026

Do you ever feel stuck in your faith? Do you wonder if you are supposed to feel more mature, more grounded by now? Or maybe you feel the tension of knowing you are called to more, but you’re not sure what moving forward actually looks like.

In this episode, we talk about what it means to actively grow in your faith instead of staying stagnant. Scripture calls you to run your race with endurance, to fight the good fight, and to keep building a life rooted in Christ. Growth does not happen by accident. It takes intention, discipline, and a willingness to be stretched. Choosing obedience and staying consistent over time are what actually produce maturity.

This conversation will help you shift out of autopilot and into a faith that is alive, active, and moving forward. You are not called to stay where you are. You are called to grow and to become someone who not only hears the Word but lives it.

    Bible Verses to journal through:

2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

1 Corinthians 9:25–27 “Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.”

2 Peter 3:18 “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”

Ephesians 4:13–15 “Until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,”

Colossians 1:10 “So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”

Hebrews 5:12–14 “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, 13 for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. 14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

  • 55 | Why You Keep Feeling Resentful — And How Your Lack of Boundaries Is Keeping You From God's Call on Your Life
    Mar 25 2026

    I'll be honest with you...

My lack of boundaries is something that has kept me up at night, and I'm still very much in the middle of this journey.

But I couldn't not talk about this.

When we don't have healthy boundaries in place, it doesn't just exhaust us. It doesn't just build resentment in relationships we actually care about.

It can keep us from the very thing God is calling us to do,

the very life He's calling us to live.

In this episode, we're going to get real about why saying no can feel so impossible, what's actually driving it, and what it's costing us when we keep saying yes out of fear instead of out of genuine love and obedience.

If you've been feeling stuck, drained, or bitter and you can't quite put your finger on why, this might be it.

If you've ever wondered whether your constant yes to everyone around you is somehow connected to your walk with God, pull up a chair.

    Let's talk about it.
