Why is it better to be single than in the wrong relationship?

In Episode 21, Jessica and I "attacked" the topic. "How is it to be single." What are the benefits? What are the downsides? Why people don't live in the present moment and choose to be miserable and complain they are alone and nobody wants them? And, of course, what can be done to find that balance and happiness while alone, until Mr. or Miss Right shows up.
