Who’s the victim here?

Am I supposed to feel sorry for the people who wanted to circumvent the system and buy a baby instead of waiting their turn or taking in an older child?
These people are willing to take advantage of someone who doesn’t have enough money to pay rent in order to get what they want. (Granted they got conned in their own game) and it’s terrible because… they’re sad? Disappointed? Shame on them and you, Dateline. Wants and disappointments don’t matter more because someone has money.
