  • EPISODE 155: How to stop speaking negatively
    Apr 24 2024

Toxic positivity is not the answer BUT negative outlooks and harmful voices in our mind are also not the answer. Not all true statements are helpful. Not all thoughts are true. At the end of the day, we all can work toward having more positive self-talk.

This week on our We Go Boldly season of how-to we are talking about stopping the cycle of negative self-talk. We can stop hiding behind the idea that thoughts are truths, ideas are realities, and that mean person talking to you knows what they are talking about. Negative self-talk can worsen anxiety and depression, hurt your relationships with the people around you, and impact your self-esteem. Most people do not respond well to negative motivation in the long run.

What can we do instead? Tune in to today’s episode to learn more about how to change that negative outlook and monologue into something more productive. From talking back to your mean voice to creating power statements (mantras) to combat the negativity we have ideas to help you change the way you think.

This season on We Go Boldly we are talking all about how-to live a limitless life? Throughout the season we are discussing everything from career advice to personal growth strategies, we’ll explore topics that inspire and motivate and help others to take charge of their life. Our guests will share their stories, insights, and practical tips to help you all navigate challenges and seize opportunities. To that end, we have an amazing guest for you all today. She is here to talk to us about her life journey and how it led her to where she is now. This how-to can help us both for ourselves and to support those around. How to plan your own and talk to your parents about your retirement life. Jessica Pavelko, lifelong Lancaster County resident, founded her business, Pavelko Senior Consulting Services in December 2006. After working years in the retirement community industry she found there was a gap in the education component of understanding all of the options that existed in the community that was best suited for an individual based on their social preferences, short and long term needs, finances, and so much more. She started the business with the intent to educate aging adults and empower them to make informed decisions as they pursue retirement living options. During her years in business, she served as a Chamber Ambassador, served on the Board of Directors for Lancaster County Estate Planning Council and Love INC and wrote a regular column in Lancaster County Magazine and Lancaster County Women publications. In 2014, Jessica took a step back from the business to raise her children. Although still an active and devoted wife and mother, Jessica reopened her business in 2021 and now serves on the Board of Trustees for Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Foundation and serves in other capacities throughout Lancaster County. Jessica enjoys getting back into a field she loves and cares passionately about. We are so excited to talk to Jessica about this confusing and complicated issue. • EPISODE 153: How to coparent
    Apr 10 2024

Co-parenting is often challenging, overwhelming, exhausting. It can be extremely rewarding too. Today on We Go Boldly we are walking through the how-to of co-parenting. There are no easy answers to this how-to. There are, however, some great tips and information to help us better understand the process and how we can find our own peace in the process.

We discuss three different types of co-parenting; conflicted, cooperative, and parallel. We talk over the details of each type, why they occur and how to manage whatever co-parenting situation you are in now. Regardless of the type of co-parenting you are involved in, it will require managing the relationship with the other parent so that you can show up, be on the same team, and support your child the best way you are able.

We also go over some tips for success, such as using open communication, having a plan, and talking and listening to your children.

There are a host of other good do’s and don’ts included in today's episode. Make sure to tune in where you listen to podcasts today. Don’t forget to rate, review and subscribe while you are there!
