(This is a developing story) First, an F-15 fighter jet was shot down over Iran, and while one of the crew members was rescued, an urgent search for the second is underway. Meantime, a second rescue plane was also struck, but the pilot was able to fly out of Iranian territory and eject safely in Kuwait. Also, several news outlets are reporting two black hawk helicopters were able to safely land after taking fire in search and rescue operations with several crew members injured. An anesthesiologist on trial for attempted murder took the stand in his own defense Thursday.
